---------------------- www.psychlotron.org.uk ---------------------- Name of resource: Applied ethics - contrasting perspectives. Submitted by: Aidan Sammons Specification details: AQA-A Other specifications: All Guidance: Handout containing brief overview of the deontological & teleological perspectives. Students are asked to think of two ethically questionable studies and consider whether they would be regarded as acceptable by each perspective & explain why. They may then go on to consider the implications of adopting the different views. The usual response IME is that 'if we take the deontological view we can't do any research at all'. It can be quite interesting to interrogate this view.
