Author(s): Aidan Sammons Specification: AQA-B Details: Various resources centred on what science can tell us about the world. Starting point is the 'classical view' of science as truth seeking. Proposed alternative is the fallibilist view. Slides include questions to provoke thinking & get students to articulate their beliefs about science as knowledge and enquiry. Activity invites students to look at a variety of objections to doing psychology as a science and think critically about them in terms of (1) whether they are practical or theoretical objections; (2) how serious/trivial they think they are.
